Photographer's Note
Please click the link to see the bigger and better photo on the beta site ROCK OF CASHEL CATHEDRAL.
I'm going a bit off the board here with this photo, its actually been sitting on my laptop screen waiting to be posted - for over a year! Come to think of it, I have about 20 photos on my laptop home page waiting to be uploaded, perhaps I should focus on these now :)
So you know what, its time to upload it. There are still dozens of photos I want to share from my time spent in this amazingly beautiful country. I was here in July 2016 and mostly had terrific weather.
Here we have part of the Ruined Cathedral at the Rock of Cashel. I took the photo from this angle to show the height and power of the Cathedral walls in comparison to the people standing around it.
The people were part of a tour group, and of course I tried to listen in on the tour guide and their comments haha.
In the WS are 2 more photos, 1 interior, 1 exterior.
Hope you like this one.

Hello Craig,
Three interesting photos today, but I completely agree with your choice of main upload. A fascinating ruin, enough people to make the scene lively, and superb colours and sharpness. I don't have much else to say, it's just a good photo.
Best regards,

Hello Craig,
I studied your photograph with great interest because, from this side, the cathedral looks more like a castle than a religious building. It has tall walls with only a tiny, slit window. I wonder if it was partly as protection against marauding invaders!
Having said that, it is one spectacular building, even as a ruin and how good that there is still so much to explore and photograph. It stands out well against that fine, blue sky, whilst the figures confirm its huge scale!
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)
Like you, I have photos on my desktop, waiting to be posted; then the time moves on, the seasons move on and photographs from new destinations seem more relevant!

Hello Craig,
Without your note, one would think these were the ruins of some mighty castle. The people are very useful here to provide scale. Excellent colour contrasts and some nicely rendered textural detail.

Bonjour, cher Craig,
Voilà un château fort qui inspire le respect à l'épaisseur de ses murs, de son passé, et de son état (l'imagination fait le reste).
Belles présentations.
Merci pour la note également.
Amitiés.

Hello Craig,
The people at left and in front of this impressive Irish castle add scale. Good sharpness and the yellow green grass contrasts well with the blue sky. Tfs!

Hi Craig,
It is quite massive cathedral ruin. I wonder what made it eventually collapse. I like the wide angle workshops, especially the inside view with blue sky above.

Hello Craig,
If it hadn't rained on our last day in Ireland, we probably would have visited this castle as well. A fantastic capture of the impressive ruins seen against the blue sky. The people are well included and look so small!

Picturesque ruins of the church, an attractive tourist destination, on the left side I noticed a small cemetery, it must be interesting to see these old graves close to the church

Hi Craig,
you had a great weather over there: the resulting colors could not be better! Well saturated green and blue make a great context for the grey ruins. I had the pleasure to be there a couple of times, this is a great place indeed.
I like the presence of the people: they make us aware of the scale of the place.
Fabulous sky!
Excellent work,

Hello Craig
I think you can only make these photos in Ireland or England. Sometimes it seems that they deliberately neglect those old castles to attract tourists there. For you, of course, a pleasure opportunity with all those dilapidated and abandoned buildings.
Have a nice day. Groet Rob

Hi dear Craig
So stunning architecture shot. Compared with people, I can understnad how big and tall this stone object. So clear and bright color touch gives so comfrotable and plseant impression to us.
All the best and have a good day! Takero

Hello Craig,
The green island with the many ruins.
This picture shows both characteristics very well.
Very pretty clouds on the left.
The title of your main picture describes exactly what we see.
I like your interior shot very much although I have a feeling we're still outside :)
Best regards, Paul

Hi Craig,
The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the details of the ruins of the cathedral. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig.
The three images of this dilapidated cathedral, which actually has the defenses of a castle are great and you have certainly captured the best angles to make us a clear idea of its majesty, it hurts that these jewels were lost by the war of religions.
A magnificent range of colors, in some tones, very attractive.
Good management of brightness and sharpness.
Very well done. I love.
Have a great day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Great light and colours, you were so lucky with this blue sky. The presence of the people gives us an idea how huge this ruined cathedral is.
I like the WS photos too for the play of light and shadow.

Hello Craig,
There's quite a contrast in size for sure. I can't imagine how difficult it was to build a giant structure like this so many years ago. The colors of the sky and grass are so vibrant. It's a nice scene on a lovely, sunny day. :-)

Ciao Craig
la presenza di questo gruppo di persone è molto importante, ci mostra immediatamente la grandezza di questa architettura.
Bello scatto, ben composto e con una bella luce, mi piace molto anche la foto del suo interno.

Hello Craig, I find it always amusing when I read something like this: I have about 20 photos on my laptop home page waiting to be uploaded. Haha. I have so many pictures that will never be uploaded :(. Anyway, I am glad seeing this old photo. Impressive castle, the people around give the scale. How could people live there when there are almost no windows? Excellent composition.
Best regrads MAlgo
