Photographer's Note

For those of you wondering where I have disappeared over the last couple of weeks, let me tell you that it is winter and this is when you will find me skiing on the slopes of Switzerland and Austria.

Where ever one travels in Iceland, one is never far away from a natural hot tub. These simple installations can be found in the middle of nowhere. Just a couple of pools with steaming hot waters and a box to put a coin or two and thats it. Miles away from any settlement, this natural hot tubs are the most effective way to relax and warm up after a long hike in the unpredictable Iclandic weather. The pools shown here can be found some 20km northwest from the small fishing village of Höfn in southeastern Iceland.
