Photographer's Note

A magical place - and one of those places that needs to see. Though not necessarily in an organized crowd. Personally huge impression on me in addition to the monasteries, made the same rocks of Meteora. And for those views that you see from there, you might want to go there.

Holy Trinity Monastery

It was built between 1458 - 1476th We may have learned from historical sources. Probably the first inhabitant of the convent's name was Dometios, and he was the founder of the monastery.

Holy Trinity Church is a cross-shaped, has two columns, the domes are low, frescoes from 1692. At the exit from the monastery is located in a small chapel built into the rocks, it makes an impression that it must be a place for spiritual development. In 1888, he was kicked out a short lane which was expanded in 1925, adding 140 steps, through which you can comfortably get to the monastery. Prior to the monks and the guests entered the hanging ladder as in other monasteries. Just to the monastery did not go in, here in the picture, you can see the view from the stairs leading to the monastery Varlaam.

Photo taken during the race bike to Greece in 1998. This is a scan from a negative.
