Photographer's Note

I was recently in Athens for a short trip. Athens was fine but I wanted to see closely how the Olympic Village architecture stood and find out whether I could take some shots. It is quite off Athen's center, and one should either take the metro or hire a taxi. This what I did and I asked the driver to wait for me until it became dark. I was pleased that the place was OK for photographers and pedestrians, and bicycles.
As most of you already the know, these incredible arches were designed by Santiago Calatrava, the great Spanish architect whose work can be seen all around the world and will be part of the new WTC complex in New York soon.
The picture was taken just after sunset ,moments before the blue hour.
