Back to last summer ...

This is the outlook from castle Marksburg high above Rhine river, about 10 km south - upstream - of Koblenz. Marksburg Castle is the only hill castle on the Rhine that has never been destroyed and it is really worth a visit. You can see it here.
In the valley you can see a part of the small town Braubach at the foot of the castle and at the right side on the slopes some vineyards.
In the background you can see a yellow spot in the forest on left slope of the valley. It is castle Stolzenfels which you can see here.


Using the map view function at the left you can zoom in (please click at "satellite" and several times at +) exactly to castle Marksburg.
