Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer you a beautiful composition with a bridge in the beautiful city of Colmar, this is the tenth image of the second visit I made to the beautiful city, I hope you like it, then some letters about the city.

Colmar (French: Colmar; Alsatian: Colmer; German: Colmar, between 1871-1918 and 1940-1945: Kolmar): it is a city and commune in the Alsace department of the Upper Rhine, France. It is the prefecture (capital) of the district of the same name. The center of the ancient city, well preserved, houses several buildings, sometimes large, German Gothic and first Renaissance, as well as a number of old churches, among which is the collegiate church of St. Martin (13th century) As the biggest and most notable. The 15th-century local artist Martin Schongauer painted what is considered his masterpiece, The Virgin of the Roses, in the Eglise des Dominicains (Dominican church). The famous Isemheim Altarpiece by Matthias Grünewald is the most prominent treasure housed in the city's Unterlinden Museum. This museum, opened in 1853, is installed in the former convent of the Dominican order of "Unterlinden" (meaning "under the linden trees"). In 1834, he was born in Colmar Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, creator of the famous Statue of Liberty, located in New York City. Once a year, in the month of August, Colmar hosts the Wine Fair. However, the greatest art that Colmar retains is that traditional atmosphere, with its carefully preserved wooden structure houses, full of flowery geraniums on hot days. Colmar has an interesting center, full of old buildings, a famous museum, Unterlinden, and a well-kept Little Venice. In addition, in the surroundings of the city there are some other points of interest, such as the magnificent town of Riquewihr, and excellent cuisine and fine wines that also surround the conception of art. Unterlinden Museum is installed in a former Dominican convent founded in the thirteenth century, which has a Gothic cloister considered the best in the region.
