Photographer's Note

I had visited the place during the afternoon to find a suitable angle. No time to loose as I wanted to take this picture and then rush down the hill, cross the bridge and shoot the town from the other side of the river Loire before the sky got too dark.

It was the pefect time to be there. In july, the sun sets just behind the castle. So when the lights turn on, the contrast between sky and castle is naturally (or artificially should I say) reduced.

Post-processing: Contrast Mask (it always helps)
