CHRIST ON THE CROSS of the 15th century, wooden sculpture, in the Saint-Michel parish church of 12th 15th 17th centuries, built about 1170, in the village of Fontevraud-l'Abbaye.

FONTEVRAUD-L'ABBAYE is a french commune, located in the department of Maine-et-Loire of the area of the Pays de la Loire, populated of 1523 Fontevristes in 2007, distributed out of 14.8 km², that is to say 102.8 hab/km².

The village belongs to the Val of Loire, in the middle of the vineyards of the Saumur-Champigny and of the natural Parc regional Loire-Anjou-Touraine.

In the village you can see and visit the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, of the 12th 15th 16th 17th 18th 19th centuries.
