BIGGER BETA VERSION
Landerneau is one of those provincial towns that knew its period of glory, but in the past years has suffered like so many others with the unreasoned development of large cities at the expense of the province.
So, these small towns rich in history and ancient architecture show imagination to revive the treasures they contain.
Thus landerneau has become the most beautiful illuminated place of northern Finistère. And the promenade of illuminations is long and full of wonders.
Here I present the view taken from the Quai du Léon onto the Inhabited Bridge and the Quai de Cornouaille opposite.
The illuminated houses are reflected in the river Elorn, and the bell tower of St. Thomas enjoys a beautiful slideshow! To watch again and again ! And Merry Christmas to all my friends!

Wonderful night scene with a fabulous reflection of the illuminated houses along the river.
A fine photojob, camera well set and different warm colors in contrast to the dark sky.

Bonjour, chère Marie-Louise,
Heureusement qu'il reste encore ce type de ville à taille humaine, chargée d'histoire (cela va faire du bruit dans Landerneau, j'ai toujours entendu cette expression depuis mon enfance sans en connaître vraiment l'origine).
Quant à la composition, c'est une réussite totale.

Hello MarieLouise,

You are quite right, small towns need to be very inventive to encourage shoppers to visit them. There is a notice in our village that if everyone spent just an extra £50 locally, businesses would be safe!
Landerneau has made an excellent attempt at being a destination town! It looks warm and welcoming with these colourful illuminations, emphasised in their reflections.
You have chosen an excellent viewpoint, using the converging lines of the quayside as a strong guide, creating a fine sense of depth and perspective.

Beautiful the yellow-red of the lighting between the dark purple of the sky and the water and that one green light in the distance.

Bonjour Marie Louise,
very romantic spot, perfect for an evening walk with camera.
I think I would cut away the river bank in the foreground to focus entirely on the houses and their reflections but of course it helps to anchor the houses in the reality.
The light was very strong in the spots, not easy to avoid burning it but then again you got the light into star shapes which makes it so pretty.

Love the clarity without blowing off the brightest parts of this night shot and what a remarkable colour show by the river. The clean water reflections is another strong value, harmoniously blended together and its diagonal touch strengthened the compo tenfold. Wonderful low light capture, Congrats

C'est certainement une magnfique image avec les nombreux bâtiments illuminés le long du canal et avec leurs reflets dans l'eau.
Très agréable avec les lumières en forme d'étoile.
