CHAPEL SANT HERVE WAR MENEZ BRE, PEDERNEG, BRO DREGER

SAINT HERVE'S CHAPEL ON MENEZ BRE, PEDERNEC, BRITTANY

The Menez Bre is a hill (Menez = mountain in Breton, like Mynydd in Welsh) in Tregor region, Northern Brittany. Up there, you can get a view of the whole region to the sea. This hill is quite isolated in the landscape. Some nickname it "Tregor's Fuji Yama".
The Chapel Sant Herve (patron saint of the bards) was built at the top of this ancient druidic sacred hill, as in other places in Brittany. According to the legend, the druid Gwenc'hlan, known through an very ancient gwerz (breton complaint), is buried under the hill and will come back at the end of the times (probably at the same time as King Atrhur).

THE PICTURE: It's an old paper photo I scanned and try to process. Though not so good, I choose to share it to make people discover the place, and because of the ambiance. Imagine climbing up the hill as the sun sets at the end of a rainy day.
For other the technical explanations, it's difficult for me explaining in English was I did , but comments and WS are welcome.
