»ze Street

Ch‚teau Eza was built 400 years ago within the ancient walls of »ze. It is a completely renovated, modernized 5 Star Hotel offering 10 rooms and suites with spectacular views of the sea.

The medieval town of »ze described as an eagleís nest rests high on the face of a rocky cliff overlooking the French Mediterranean. Workshop This ancient village is still crowned with the ruins of its 12th century fortified castle on a narrow rock peak. The castle itself was torn down in 1706 and the castle grounds now contain, Jardin Exotique, a beautiful garden. The village of »ze forms a circular pattern around the base of the castle. The old buildings and narrow streets are well restored with high stone walls and narrow roadways of centered red bricks. In April, 1860, »ze was designated as a part of France. It is known for its many shops, art galleries, hotels and restaurants. Few local residents live in »ze, but it is a popular spot for tourists and honeymooners.

»ze is pronounced [Ďeze] and it means king.

For a gorgeous view from the top of »ze see VERTICAL CLIMB TO EZE posted by batalay.
