Photographer's Note

The Carnival is part of Nice local culture. It is a period where everyone can make fun of anything and anyone! and through confetti (colorful paper dots => it used to be plaster in the early days of the Carnival) to anyone! a joyful moment with no censorship at all.
But the Carnival is not only about giant caricaturas, ratapignatas and raminagrobis...it is also about dance and colorful disguises, sometimes disguises are made of flowers sometimes feather...

When I was a little girl, I used to follow the dancers along their journey in the streets of Nice. Now, it's not possible anymore as the journey has been restricted to the Promenade des Anglais area and people aren't allowed to follow the "procession" to avoid traffic jam i guess ;o)
