Autumn in Provence, a photo from Provence-Alpes-Cote-dAzur, South

Photographer's Note

I went to Aix-en-Provence mainly to see Vasarely Museum, but the town itself is also beautiful and interesting.
The Cours Mirabeau is a wide thoroughfare, planted with double rows of plane trees, bordered by fine houses and decorated by fountains. It follows the line of the old city wall, and divides the town into two sections. The new town extends to the south and west; the old town, with its narrow, irregular streets and its old mansions dating from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, lies to the north. Situated on this avenue, which is lined on one side with banks and on the other with cafés, is the Deux Garçons, the most famous brasserie in Aix. Built in 1792, it was frequented by the likes of Paul Cézanne, Émile Zola and Ernest Hemingway.

I think that Cours Mirabeau in autumn, with the golden plane trees looks specially beautiful.

Hello Malgo,,

You might have come at the best time of the year for colours!
The trees have a wonderful, golden warmth which draws attention right down the thoroughfare!
The whole scene of leisurely figures and dappled sunlight sets a very relaxed, attractive atmosphere. I'm most attracted!

I remember this street very well. You present us with a lovely long perspective with the trees in their autumn colours receding into the far distance and set nicely against the clear blue sky. Fine technical realisation.

The autumn colours of the trees are dominant but clours you picture nice.
Real a daily life picture with the shopping street.

Hello Malgo,
The trees provide beautiful green and yellow tones and also give the view great depth. It's a lively place and the nearest stalls provide further details and colours. I rarely see such fine light in Sweden in November, and our clear days are probably much colder than what you had here.

Hi Malgo,this view reminds a lot Milano or the ramblas of Barcelona,did you agree with me? Very deep perspective with a nice 3D effect too,i never been there but this town seem very interesting and full of life.Perfect capture very sharp and bright and nice fountain in the WS too. An appealing lively street scene from this angle, i like the warm tones contrasting against the blue sky and good intermingling of shadow and light. A pleasure to view, but perhaps toning down cyan a bit will appear more natural to my eye. Lovely shot Congrats
