Photographer's Note

A statue of Aristide Briand sited close to the Ferry Port in Ouistreham. I am uncertain as to the connection, if any, between M. Briand and Ouistreham.

Aristide Briand; 28 March 1862 – 7 March 1932) was a French statesman who served eleven terms as Prime Minister of France during the French Third Republic and received the 1926 Nobel Peace Prize.

An informative article about him in English on Wikipedea can be read by clicking here.
