Photographer's Note
Wonderful old wooden houses and paved streets is typical architecture old Strasbourg.
Petite-France is an area in Strasbourg, Alsace, France.
It is located on the Grande Île (Main Island), where the river Ill splits up into a number of canals and cascades through a small area of medieval half-timbered houses and baroque sandstone buildings. In the Middle Ages, the Petite-France was the tanning-houses and slaughterhouses area. The Grand Île was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988
The name Petite-France ("Little France") was not given for patriotic or architectural reasons. It comes from the "hospice of the syphilitic" (Hospice des Vérolés, in French), which was built in the late fifteenth century on this island, to cure persons with syphilis, then called the "French disease" in German / Wiki/

Hello Piotr,
An attractive composition and an excellent and sharp presentation of the typical architecture of Alsace.
The red geraniums in the foreground add colour to the picture.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Piotr,
These buildings are truly wonderful and it's a joy to watch them. I bet it must be great to walk through this area. Although the colours and light have been handled very cleverly I think the not so beautiful railings disturb the view a little bit. I cropped it drastically, which you may not like, but please have a look at the WS anyway.
Kind regards,
Gert
PS A bug in the programme took away the green smiley I had planned to give you. I'm sorry for that.

Pozdrawiam.
Zycze dobrej nocy!

Good morning Piotr,
Yet another corner in old styled houses, built in wood.
Good depth accross the canal, and marvelous showing the inscription on the wall, in ancient letters.
Best reagrds,

Hello Piotr,
I like the double x pattern at right in this shot. Good sharpness and natural looking colour. The window box of bright red flowers adds a welcome splash of colour. The old Tudor style buildings at left add architectural interest. Tfs!

Vitaj Piotr
What a place to be and enjoy, like the WS made by Gert, it give more emphasis at the wooden but the beautiful (part) letters are lost
The most catching eye are the houses at the back along with flowers and letters
A pleasure to watch
Congrats and tfs

Hello Piotr,
Nice view, so typical of Old Strasbourg. I like the fact you've framed the house in the right with its beautiful inscription.
