Photographer's Note

The name of Mezieres comes from "Maceria", construction out of dry stones from which the name would come from hovels. Place of origin of the worship dedicated to saint Avit, local saint, monk who made retirement at Mézières before becoming higher convent of Micy.
the castle of Mezieres dates from the XIX century, in style of the XVII century.
The village is located in the Sologne area at ten kilometers of Orleans on the Orleans wine trail; it is also famous for its plantations of cherry trees.
