Uspenski Cathedral

A classic photo of the other well-known cathedral in Helsinki: Uspenski Cathedral (Finnish: Uspenskin katedraali). Located at the Katajanokka peninsula, it was built between 1862-68 and designed by Russian architect Aleksey Gornostayev. An Eastern Orthodox cathedral, it’s dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary.
