Photographer's Note

I am posting this in reaction to the Silvio Scorcini's Italian villas series. Here you can see the road across the valley which used to lead from Spork's baroque hospital to his villa on the other bank of river Elbe. The villa (designed by Italian architect G. B. Alliprandi) was destroyed by fire and floods in 1896, the remains of the building were pulled down in 1901.
Nowadays you can see only a beautiful staircase at the end of this road, which is decorated with statues and with water running down on both sides along the staircase. See it in WS. Occasionally, the same way as it used to be at the time of Count of Sporck, vine is running there on the staircase during some celebrations - you have to buy just a glass and you can help yourself.

The picture is a vertical panorama of 4 horizontal shots.
