One in a series of pictures taken on a short trip to Prague in October 2002.

Some information about the city from Wikipedia:

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the fourteenth-largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava River, the city is home to about 1.3 million people, while its larger urban zone is estimated to have a population of nearly 2 million. The city has a temperate climate, with warm summers and chilly winters.

big boat fan me, I suppose living in a harbour town, boats are everywhere and they do make superb subjects. It must be the attraction of just floating away that appeals. Like the crop and diagonal lines here they entice and impart an artistic atmosphere to the image. Like it!

this is such a harmonious composition with lovely oblique framing and beautiful colours that are soothing to the eyes. The exposure and sharpness are excellent as always and we get to see with clarity so many details of the boats and the wooden jetty.

je suis toujours attirée par les photos de barques sur la rive, car souvent soit elles sont usagées, elles prennent l'eau, et elles conservent un certain vécu comme ici
de plus un peu un cadrage en plongée
