Nachod castle, a photo from Kralovehradecky, Bohemia

Photographer's Note

The most important monument in Nachod is the former early Gothic castle towering over the city, erected around 1254, was rebuilt at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries into a Renaissance and early Baroque one.
In my photo you can see the courtyard of the castle. The walls are decorated with scgraffito.

Hello Ryszard,
The decorations on the wall make this old castle look a little bit modern. It's not a unique style but fairly unusual and definitely makes this castle look rather special. Although not one of your most spectacular photos it is interesting and well taken and a few persons as always make the view more lively.

I remember seeing the same kind of patterns on buildings in Prague as well. A good photo of this castle, the composition is well balanced with the trees at right.

Très intéressant édifice aux murs scgraffito (Décoration murale obtenue en appliquant du mortier blanc sur un fond de couleur et en le grattant et l’incisant pour créer un dessin). J'ai appris un mot aujourd'hui. Merci !

Ciesze sie, ze zamiesciles zdjecie zamku z poprzedniego zdjecia widzianego z bliska, mozemy tu zobaczec o wiele wiecej szczegolow. W porownaniu z ludzmi widac jak wysokie sa te mury.
Fajne zestawienia czerwonego, zielonego i niebieskiego.
