Walking in Bruges 2019 on Saturday afternoon with camera in hand.

Groenerei runs along the Steenhouwersdijk, almost in the center of Bruges.
People who were once visiting Bruges will recognize this place.
Was already busy to take a boat trip, with the very nice weather on Saturday, see the two small boats.

From Steenhouwersdijk to Predikherenstraat. Until about 1825 also called Steenhouwersdijk; current name, used for name and parallel rei, derived from an undefined inn "'t Groene". Until the excavation of the Coupure in 1751-1753, delimited by the "Vuldersreitje" and the wooden bridge so-called "Loose bridge" see Marcus Gerards (1562); the buildings on this map mainly consist of large buildings with, among other things, screen facades (current number 2); furthermore, a passage to Predikherenstraat has been drawn between the current numbers 12 and 14, on the Poppkaart (1865) so-called "Sortie 1015".
Straight, cobblestone street, which narrows from corner with Coupure to Predikherenstraat to a walking path, bordered by a few bollards. The Reie runs on the northwest side, bordered with brick parapet and natural stone cover plates; over the Reie, at the intersection with Peerdenstraat, the Peerdenbrug will be built. Varied development of - certainly between Meestraat and Peerdenstraat - rich townhouses and mansions, with a core rise to the first half of the 16th century.

I hope that you enjoy it
