Photographer's Note

Again, I have taken one of my earliest uploads, Man On St Michael's Bridge, and made a new b/w picture from it, cropped from the original to remove a large area of white sky and to try to emphasise a connection between the boy on the bank of the River Leie, and the man on the bridge, apparently watching him. It is a pity the other figures on the bridge are partly obscured or disguised by lamp pole and monument plinth, in fact it is a pity they are there at all, perhaps. Ah well. I hope you like the result of my little fixation with b/w and sepia. Not to mention the winter sunshine of Gent in January.
