Photographer's Note

From my stay in Gent in January. I went for a walk on a rare sunny afternoon, just before dusk, following the River Leie east from the Kraanlei. I took this looking back, with a strong zoom. I wish I could have included more of the snooker tavern's roof, but had to crop it after straightening the image (I was going through a strange but ephemeral tilt fixation at the time). I liked the colours, the reflection and that behatted fellow walking into the picture in his warm coat. Mellow sort of early evening picture, I think, with a little late sunlight bouncing off the boats, the wall and the railings.
