Photographer's Note

This is a variant shot - same building but different point of view - from the one posted yesterday about the “Convento de San Ignacio de Loyola” in the “Zona colonial” of Santo-Domingo.

Taken few minutes later at sunrise, it focused on two elements I found attracting at that moment : the moon and the old statue on top of the front wall. It made a nice composition IMO, especially as the moon really faced the character : I believe that made the moon quite special.

Many things convey the idea of "taking care" in this picture : the moon just over the head of this statue, the way the statue is holding its fragile load, the soft warm light over the stone... All this led me to think this title was appropriate.

Original framing, rotated a bit, slight balance and color adjustments, USM applied and white framing added.
