Photographer's Note

On the rotating market day, when the fleet is in, it is essential that someone undertake guard duty. This young man has answered the call. One of the benefits of rotating market days is that it helps in achieving a feeling of community around Inle Lake. It encourages all of the local people to identify themselves with this place and each other. This is who, what and where we belong.
