Maybe it was just because of the New Year (tete), but I get the feeling that the Vietnamese really love to gamble. Walking around, you saw tons of games like this, with money freely and rapidly changing hands. I even saw younger kids wagering a few dong here and there without any fear. The very odd part of this was that I saw signs in bars saying that should you get caught gambling at the pool tables, you are likely to spend some time in a Vietnamese prison. From the looks of things, enforcement is pretty lax.

It might not look like it, but I was really close here. Amazing the effect that a fisheye lens has on cramming a lot into a small area.
