Photographer's Note

Hanoi's Old Quarter, famous for its bustling markets, colourful maze-like streets dating back to the 13th century and the endless motorbike traffic.
Interesting to see there are the so called "tube houses", long and narrow buildings with typical measurement 3 meters wide by 60 meters long. Because storekeepers were taxed according to the width of their store front, storage and living space moved to the rear of the buildings.

The Old Quarter, the Hoan Kim Lake and the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre are must to see in Hanoi.
