Photographer's Note

This shot was taken in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.

Ha Long Bay (The Bay of Descending Dragon) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular travel destination, located in north-eastern Vietnam.

It is interesting where the bay got its name. According to a legend a great dragon that once lived in the mountains came running down and gouged with its tail the valleys and crevices that eventually got filled with water before he plunged into the sea. Those areas that were left not gouged then became the visible lands.
