Photographer's Note

Spotted this bit of natures sculpture, a close up of the middle latch of some huge old doors on an entrance to the Ark Fortress in Bukhara. Marvellous medieval craftsmanship and worn but I just loved the shapes & textures that mother-nature had created over time and certainly has seen better days, but I think it, like us, has a lot of character in it's aging process.

Not a mind-boggling image though but makes a change from my usual captures & it's almost a 'still-life'.
Bit of fun really but I liked the patina and contrast.
Please see workshop image to give some ideas of its actual size.
