Wat Putthathiwat, with a sitting bronze Buddha statue, is the largest Thai temple in the town of Betong, which is the southern-most town of Thailand, in the province of Yala.

Betong is accessible from Malaysia from the towns of Baling and Grik through the border post of Pengkalan Hulu (state of Perak).
