Photographer's Note

Wat Sorasak in the ancient capital Sukothai, was built approximately in 1417.
The stupa is the main attraction and consists of a bell shaped monument covered with stucco and mounted on a 19 meter square brick base which itself is decorated with 24 elephant sculptures made of bricks with stucco which serve as the motives typical of the Sri Lankan style introduced to Sukhothai at this time.
