Photographer's Note

I went to visit the South East Coast of Taiwan and met this young Aboriginal Woman in Taidong. She was initially camera shy and wouldn’t stand for a portrait with her friends. While watching traditional fishermen reel in their catch from the Beinanda River below us, she glanced under her umbrella to see what the rest of us were doing, and as it turned out, I was still looking through my viewfinder. Here she is, and the smile that almost got away.
