Photographer's Note

I am back home from my trip to Russia. When I went by metro to the Sheremietievo Airport today early in the morning, I get out in the Mayakovskaya station to take some photos. I waited a moment, and there were no people around, all went by trains in opposite directions. I remember in old times I have heard the legends how beautiful the metro stations in Moscow are. Finally, after so many years I could see it myself. Indeed, some stations and are very interesting and beautiful.
Moscow metro is very efficient. The trains are very frequent, less than a minute. As of 2014, the Moscow Metro has 195 stations and its route length is 325.4 km (202.2 mi). The system is mostly underground, with the deepest section 74 metres (243 ft) underground at the Park Pobedy station. The Moscow Metro is the world's fourth most heavily used (by annual ridership in 2013).

It is very cheap. The best way is to buy so called Troyka card (for 1 euro) and put some money in it. Then one ride costs 28 ru, it is 0.6 euro.
