Very interesting picture... it seems it was taken in a very faraway place... in a harsh winter season... but, still, found some good examples of architecture to be photographed and, yes, what a great photo job in here!
Adequate sharpness, perfect exposure, smart composition!

C'est tout simplement superbe. Tu me renvoies quelques années en arrière lorsque j'y suis passée c'était l'été et pourtant j'avais l'onglée. Celà me fait plaisir de découvrir de site sous son manteau de neige.

C'est l'hiver russe dans toute sa "splendeur" . Une architecture religieuse et rurale remarquable . Un ciel bas sur ce décor enneigé . J'aimerais voir cette même composition par une journée estivale ensoleillée .

The architecture here is really exceptional and your composition shows it in a very balanced and elegant way.
The tree and the small houses in the fg have a horizontal development while the church in the bg is more vertical, creating in this way a very dynamic image. I like the winter atmosphere here. The absence of colours make it more grapghic.

Bonsoir Jean,

La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'architecture de l'église et de la maison en bois de l'avant-plan. La neige donne un cadrage blanc à l'image. L'image est claire et nette. La réflexion de la lumière sur la neige a un bel effet sur les couleurs du paysage. Bonne soirée.

Yes! this looks certainly Russian a true wintry image where cold wind sweeps from the
Arctic and the Withe sea. And the only people in sight are orthodox priest as dark
ghost in the total whiteness .
a very moody image.

A quick addition to your notes-all architectural design and actual built in Kiji are based on non-usage of any metal,all elements are from wood only.

Wow, it's world heritage Kizhi Pogost. It seems to be huddled up with the cold under the gray sky. A bit darker and gray tone makes us feel the freezing cold fully. Thanks for sharing of Papagolfade Karelia.

This looks very cold,but nice.
Good composition with this tree,the building and the nice church i a row.The foreground is nice,too with these plants looking out of the snow.
Ihad a look at a map,you have been very far in the north.I think the days are very short there in february.

Simply a fantastic shot, love the composition and the combination of the farm ranch in the foreground and a very impressive chuch in the back.
