Photographer's Note

I have already posted a photo of the Basanta Pavillion in the Garden of Dreams in Kathmandu. In fact, it was the first photo from Nepal I posted to TE after I had come back from my first trip in December 2014. I uploaded it to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and it showed the only Christmas tree I had see in Nepal. Here another image, zoomed closer on that very tree.

When I returned in 2016, I was pleased to see that the Garden of Dreams had not been even slightly shaken by the earthquake. You can compare two snaps taken 15 months apart in WS.

When reviewing the images from that second trip today I was surprised to see I did not take any photos of the Basanta Pavillion. But then why would I? There was not a single crack in the wall…

Ps. I was trying to say in the WS photo that there may be cracks in the statue base, although I don't even know if it is in the result of the earthquake. But some TE glitch didn't let me do it.
