Photographer's Note

leave Burma for a time being....
finding images from many years ago, enjoying revamping them

The Golden light of morning and islands in the sky:
On what was to become one of the greatest landscape photography experiences I’ve had yet, this panoramic image consists of some of the very first images shot during pre-dawn. My excitement was increasing as
the gathering of heavy cloud sweeping through the vast valley and illuminated by first soft light leading to a spectacular inversion. An experience to never forget, some days Mother Nature just drops your jaw to the floor. Mornings like this, where everything aligns beautifully, make every ounce of sweat, previous failures and disappointments all worthwhile. I never, ever regret going out and exploring this place, but when you are in the thick of fantastic conditions it feels like a giant reward for all those trials and tribulations.

This magical morning brings both joy and sadness, knowing that I’ll likely not experience such conditions again – never say never though! On the plus side I still have a few more shots remaining from this place to share!

Taken at the north of Titiwangsa Mountain Range which reaches a maximum elevation of 2100 m asl, located in the northern state of Perak. Length of the range is abt 500 km from north to south that forms the backbone of the Malay peninsula.

Setting: 18 mm, 1/60 sec, F6.3, ISO Raw 200, 0653 hrs & GND filter
