Photographer's Note

Markets are bustling places, teeming with life, full of people going about their daily lives - buying and selling- a traditional way of life which hasn't changed and often in a hurry. This similar scene must have been repeated throughout the centuries, but they can also provide a colourful visual aspect to the surroundings. Like most markets in Asia, it's a heady mixture of hustle and bustle, sights, colors, sounds and smells.

This is an every day sight, taken in Talat Sao market in the city centre in the early cool morning when it’s at its busiest and in full swing. I find it interesting to follow human interactions, watch the crowd, observe and steal a moment within hive of activities when the market takes on a frenzied atmosphere bathed in golden glow of light so full of sparkle. Yet it is so refreshing that folk have time to "stand and stare".
