Photographer's Note

This is my favorite temple in Luang Prabang, Wat Xeng Tong, a 15th century temple on an elbow of the Mekong river and a perfect example of the Laotian style. It is very popular for photographers. (bip-bip, posted a very good view from about the same spot recently. ‘The tree of life’).This temple is a wonderful collection of buildings decorated beautifully, using gold and mosaic, as in this picture. This view shows the back of the Uposata Hall. It was raining and this woman was waiting in the rain. She was very wet. What was she waiting for? Surely not the monk with the umbrella.
