Photographer’s Note

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The scenery (especially during sunrise) is really incredible. I took plenty of pictures there and it was really difficult to choose only one to show here. As I saw many photos of this place with horizontal orientation, I decided to pick a vertical one. Anyway, if you ever happen to go to Java, do not miss this place. And do not forget to climb Gunung Bromo. You will not regret!

Fantastic image, I like the portrait choice, it enhances the layers within the image.

the vertical composition works, I think mostly thanks to the mist that... 'frames' the lower crater.

Hello,

I never went in Indonesia, but looking to this kind of landscape I should. Very nice light putting in evidence the volcanos other the blue mist of the morning.
This vertical composition works well by opposing the 2 volcanos.
