Photographer's Note
This picture is my HDR experiment on a very hot blazing sunny day of Eid-ul-Fitr 2016 at Jama Mazjid, New Delhi.
It's technically a shot I do not like as I was shooting towards the sun and the white area above left is an eye-soar.
I like this picture for composition and the feeling it generates. I gave it the caption 'Surrender", meaning the act of giving up to an influence believed to to be more powerful than you.
Happy to hear from others as its a long time since I posted.

Hi Satyakki
Interesting concept to use HDR technique for this type of contre jour image and in my opinion it worked very well - I wouldn't say the white area in the sky looks as bad as you say.
As for the theme, it's a very evocative image and expresses the idea implied by the title very well. The shape of the person in the foreground speaks volumes.
It rained when I visited in April 2012 and it was a fairly mild day. I can only imagine how hot and humid it gets in July and how exhausting in must feel at the end of Ramadan.
Best wishes
Kasia
