The Picture was taken on the way to Thajiwas Glacier from sonamarg.
Thajiwas Glacier is located at Sonamarg in Srinagar District of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 3,000 m above sea level, the glacier is covered with snow all the year round.

What a sight! Here I like especially your interesting and fancy composition of the photo with this strong diagonal in foreground. It also is interesting to see the obviouly last deciduous trees in this valley whereas in bigger altitudes there are only conifers - like here in the Alps. A photo to marvel at ...

Hi Supriya, this is a interesting picture if we considerate that it can be a North American Rocky Mountain or European Alpine landscape too... usually pictures from the Asian high mountains has it own style, this one is different and that is why is special to me.

beautiful scenery, the presence of people here give us a sense of scale. nice the trees, like rolling down the slope, while the mountains looks so high ahead. nice framing, light and sharpness
