Photographer’s Note
Young Brahman pupils at play with their master at the "monkey" temple of Galta, next to Jaipur in Rajasthan.
The Hindu God Ganesha with its elephant head is bringing luck to the play which consists of sliding the disk with the help of one master disk into one of the holes on the four side, a little like playing pool billiards by hand.
The game is popular in Rajasthan.

Hi Paul!
Nice compo! Interesting to see the game in action, and of course interesting to see the unusual hairstyle. Really a great shot, with beautiful clarity and POV. Check my photo out for a similiar hairstyle:

Hi Paul,
This may be the 6 or 7 images from Inda I have commented today. Like everyone just got back for a TE meeting in India. Not that is a bad thing. It's such a pictureque country. I wish to be there too soon. This one is especially nice, I like that it show part of the culture and activity, I also like that they don't seem to notice your presence, give this image an all natural feel. Great quality and details as always. Congrats.

Bonjour Paul,

Mooi foto werk, bedankt.
Groeten,
John.

Hello Paul
This game is popular all over India, especially in smaller cities and villages. I wonder where the game originated from, but India hosted the world championship of carrom as well, a couple of years back. This is a different picture from Jaipur and you've composed it well. It is good to see my country through the eyes of quite a few TE-ites who were in India recently!

rebonjour Paul
Magnifique!

Very curious this image! The game seems to fascinate people, they show interest in their faces. Excellent composition, you captured a moment of leisure in the temple, on the monitoring of divine images. Magnificent colors.

Hello Paul,
You have such a lot of great shots in your gallery and I haven't by far seen them all. This is one recent masterpiece that I had missed. It's a fine composition of the boys and their master, it has a very attractive purity of the colours and it's a picture that really tells us something about this part of the world.
Kind regards,
Gert
