Photographer's Note

This is of course a totally unsuitable photo for New Year's Eve, but I have nothing special for this day, so I show this photo which is nothing special at any time.

It's another glimpse from my journey through India in the early 1970's. Just a snapshot from a street in Madras (now Chennai) where a "hole in the wall" shop was selling banana leaves, used all over southern India as plates for the typical vegetarian meals.

In an unrelated workshop I will show another snapshot from a street in Madras, a portrait of a nice female.

Here is a larger version of the main photo. Both pictures were scanned from Kodachrome slides.

In spite of these odd photos I wish everyone a Happy New Year.
