About Kaziranga National Park :
The Kaziranga National Park is located in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam, India. It was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1985 for its unique natural environment.

The park hosts two-thirds of the world's population of the Great One-horned Rhinoceroses. It is also home for a wide range of other species including tigers, elephants, panthers, bears, deer and thousands of birds. It was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006 for its high density of tiger population. The park is spread over an area of 430 Sq kms along the river Brahmaputra on the North and the Karbi Anglong hills on the South.
