Near To Nature, a photo from West Bengal, East

Photographer's Note

I took it at Raimatang, a small and remote village of Doors, West Bengal. It is in the border of Bhutan and India. It is 45 km from Alipurduar. Anyone can reach Kalchini by train, and reach this place by hiring a car. Raimatang is a place in the lap of nature, surrounded by rivers and mountains. No bridge on river and when the rivers are full with the water ( there are no such water all along the day, only after heavy rain in hills these are flooded ) every connection of this place with plane is cutted off. You can see the faded mountain in background. It was the time when sky was preparing for shower. No direct sunlight, heavy atmosphere. The stony way towards the cottage ( which is absent in frame ) you can see in foreground. The whole atmosphere is so tranquil. Now I am sharing it with you. Hope you'll like it.

Oui, le titre est très bien choisi "proche de la nature" !
Ces fleurs bordant ce chemin caillouteux apportent une note pleine de poésie.
L'on sent l'air lourd et humide. La végétation reste luxuriante et le vert domine avec splendeur.
Une jolie composition.

I had been to Raimatang in 2008. I can understand the peace n tranquility u hv mentioned .. ur photo also speaks abt it.
Nice colours captured here. Diffuse light always has its own magic .. aint it ? Nice low POV with a nice DOF helping the viewer's eyes guide thru the entire expanse of the pebbled path. Surely u got some great colours here. But do u think that a slightly lesser contrast and a slightly lessened saturation could have been helpful in rendering this beautiful shot into an even better one ?? Just a thought ...

A very attractive composition with a pleasant mood to it. I like the low point of view and the emphasis placed on the lovely flowers; the eyes are then directed along the stony track towards the mist shrouded hills. I like the lovely natural colours and the excellent clarity. Thanks for sharing.

Nice flowers along the street, I like them a lot. I'm not sure if they native Indian or native Asian flowers. Nonetheless fine color hues and high sharpness. Well done. Thanks for your critique of my wet market shot. Yes I know that Bengalis like fish and seafood a lot.

I like the nature shot here so much green. Good compostion with the stone path leading in. The contrast is a tiny bit too strong, the shadow is all black without any details and the magenta, the pink of the flow is overly saturated, it take too much attention away from everything else.
