Photographer’s Note
Huangshan, which translates as 'Yellow Mountains', is a mountain landscape from which to look down. This is the view from the so-called 'northern sea'.
Located in southern Anhui Province, Mount Huangshan covers an area of 250 kilometers, of which 154 square kilometers are scenic attractions. Its landscape features "four wonders" of imposing peaks, spectacular rocks, odd-shaped pines, and a sea of clouds.
Mount Huangshan boasts 72 peaks, more than 1,000 meters above sea level, with three main peaks rising majestically. They are both fascinating and dangerously steep. Cliffs, stone forests, stone pillars, stone blocks and egg-shaped stones form the unique granite geomorphological scenery.
Although Huangshan is the most famous tourist destination in Anhui, for us it was a good break from exploring the Huizhou villages in the area.

hello Benny,
I think you have succeeded in your attemt at landscape photography, you have both mood and sense of depth in this photo, which I think are very important elements. the sky looks close to overexposure, but it doesn't bother me too much. what I like best is the tiny-looking line (path? riverbed?) down in the valley, it somehow "frames" the scene.
best,
Kristine

What is another super great shot!
Great framework/well considered composition and sharp focusing in the detail are excellent as usual!
Color management is also excellent too.
Congratulation on your masterpiece!

Benny,
I'm jealous, one of my dream place, I study Chinese when I was little and have read many poem of HuangShan, Yellow Mountains, and I have always wanted to see it for myself. Last time I was in China I have not a chance, too big of a country to see in one trip. I wish soon, but there are so many wonderful places, but I will be there one day. This is a lovely shot even in the low light and misty condition which also make this place very mysterious and poetic. Like a Chinese painting this one. Great shot. I love it and enjoyed it much.

Bonjour Benny,
impressionnnate cette montagne ou plutôt cette aiguille semblant sortie verticalement du sol.
La bruem de l'arrière plan donne beaucoup de relief.
C'est une photo vraiment bien construite.
Amicalement.
Daniel.
