Photographer's Note

Prostration at the foot of one of the Buddhas of the renowned Jade Temple in the heart of Shanghai. Offerings deposited and time of contemplation for this person in this very decorated temple.
A temple built in 1928 and recently renovated, there was originally in this place a temple destroyed during the revolution that toppled Qing dynasty.
The fame of this temple is due to its statue of Buddha carved in a single piece of white jade (1m90) encrusted with precious stones ... an artwork that is forbidden to photograph, pity !
