Photographer's Note

at the break of dawn thousands of tourists flock to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise, and one of the favourite place to see this is by the reflecting pond. These water reservoirs surround the Temple serve many functions, one theory says that they were designed to hydrate the sand foundation to keep the support for the stone temples solid. Very impressive for 9th century construction!
