Photographer's Note

Etosha National Park with its 22270 square kilometres is one of the largest parks in Africa.

Visiting Etosha was great experience. We saw giraffes, zebras, quite a few different antilopes, ostrich, warthog, jackals and lots of colourful birds.

What comes to photography it was a painful learning lesson. In Etosha you are not allowed to leave car, except on designated picnic places. And I was using polarizer for the first time. With a modest zoom reaching 200mm, shooting from a car with motor running, overexcited and sunglasses on I didn't notice that exposure times were too long. Almost all photos turned out to be shaken and blurry. Back at home with prints in hands the disappoinment was bad.

I think this one is pretty decent. Scanned photo with the usual fight against noise.
