Photographer's Note

The Masai are a nomadic people, living off the land and enjoying simple lives, free of the worries of modern society.
Well, that might be what some think.
We drove for about an hour to get to this Masai village, on the plains of Amboseli National Park. Once we got there, and everyone got out of the safari vehicles (Nissan vans), there was no beating around the bush.
The Masai were quick to ask for money to pay for seeing their village. It seemed a little conceited, maybe, but reasonable - after all they still have to buy things. Cloth, maybe food if its becoming scarce, and whatnot...
One Masai named "Geoffrey" had a digital watch. Hmm...
